I can't believe it's been a month since your birthday and soon we will no longer count your age by months but rather by years.
It is amazing how much you have grown in just a few weeks, but you are quickly becoming a little boy right before our eyes. Every day you surprise us with new words or actions and every night we go to bed saying how much we love you.
You have made our lives so much fun and it is unbelievable how much we laugh when we are with you. You love to keep us on our toes and you never let us have a dull moment.
Christmas is just around the corner and you have become obsessed with Santa, although you are still scared to approach him in person. You love to sing and half the time we don't know whether you are singing in English or French, but your melodies are sweet.
You now speak to us exclusively in French although we still try to speak to you in English. You love to say "oh la la" and love to call yourself a "petit coquin". We can't help but laugh at what you are learning at daycare and especially loved when you told your dad to "bouge les fesses" (move your butt).
In just a couple of weeks you are going to be a big brother and I know that you will be amazing. You have such love and kindness in your heart and it is clear when you willingly give kisses (even to your stuffed animals) and are so open to receiving them.
Every day we look you and we are even more in love and even more amazed that we have been blessed with such an amazing child like you.

That is a wonderful photo of him! I love the stylish hair cut!! It's so exciting to think of him becoming a big brother ~ watching my kids together has been so amazing over the years!
Such a gorgeous picture, Barbara. You captured him perfectly.

I love this picture of him! You did a wonderful job on your picture! The different fonts really make the words jump off the page.
How did i guess you would sneak your fav bakery goods into this? ;)
Look at him, all little man now ... great shot sweet friend xxx
Such sweet memories of an awesome age! I'm sure he'll make a great big brother :)
He is such a handsome little boy! Love this pic of him...and sounds like he is having tons of fun at this age!
What a great photo! I love candid shots. Thanks for visiting my blog today!
Oh, what a cutie!
It's a big change- when you go from counting the months to counting the years!
Hey, when you get that shiny new baby, can I have your old one?
m.
The third year is an awesome age, you'll see. I was cracking up with "bouge les fesses", I'm just waiting for things like this when my tot goes to preschool in January. Everyone will talk Creole with him and that's based on French.
what a wonderful love letter to your beautiful little boy.
such handsome capture of the soon to be older brother =)
That look in his yes. Looks like he have an old soul. Such a handsome little man :)
Haha! What he says really cracked me up! Somehow, even "move your butt" sounds beautiful in French.
He's one handsome little boy! :)
LOve the picture - such a handsome guy! And how awesome that he has a sense of humour!
Adorable. I love that he's speaking French--he must have the cutest little accent! And who doesn't love pain au chocolat? That's one of my faves.
What a darling boy - he looks wise well beyond his 2 years. What a wonderful age to have a younger sibling...my son was 2 1/2 and very caring.
What a cutie! And multilingual wow!! Can't wait to see him with Noah.
So perfectly captured. xo
Ha! "move your butt." Too funny.
Your post made me think that part of the beauty of Santa is that you don't have to get close to him to tell him what you want. He just knows.
Isn't weird to transition from giving your baby's age in weeks, then months, then years? Great post!
He is adorable and looks so serious in that picture.
What an adorable face, and I love the bilingualism - especially the comment to your husband about moving his butt!
What a wonderful picture of your big boy! He will make a great big brother :)
He is adorable! I have a son the exact same age. It's amazing how much they learn every day at this age...my son like to sing too but half the time I'm just not sure WHAT he's singing. (and we only speak English) I swear he makes up his own songs.
oh la la those eyes!! What a handsome big boy he is!
