I've been wanting to write about my "black thumb of death" for a while now, but haven't had the opportunity. In fact, every year I try to grow some sort of plants and they always die a very slow painful death. In fact, every year when I buy new plants to replace the dead ones, my husband scoffs and rolls his eyes because he knows what the end result will be.
It doesn't help that we live in a French apartment and we don't have a lovely yard where I can grow a garden. So sit back and enjoy this tour of what is growing {or slowly dying} on our terrace.

Nice to know us black thumb/semi black thumb people aren't alone.
If my husband didn't take care of our plants they would all be dead too!
Your porch looks like our backyard.. we love to garden but just moved into this house and have work to do first..
Great vlog!
Great job on your first vlog. Your plants look a lot like mine. Seems like you have a nice view from your patio.
Thanks for joining us for VlogTalk!
I have a brown thumb as well! I always kill plants!
So glad I am not the only one who kills all plants. lol
I don't have any plants besides the ones that grow alone outside. I think they need to be watered every day and I can never remember. I do know that sometimes, if you water it, it can come back! You should try before you give up on that one. :) Good luck, maybe set an alarm to remind you to water them.
Congrats on your first vlog!
Just found you via Top 25 Expat Mom Blogs - I'm an expat mom too :) XOL
I hope the flowers beside the rosemary will not completely die! I'd love to know what they're called. They're pretty!
I'm a member of the black thumb club, too. Glad to know I'm not alone! ;)
Thank goodness. I thought I was the only one that couldn't keep a plant alive. Love the vlog!
Oh I so hear you! My husband (and children) can green things up. I, however, can so not!
I have ONE plant that has managed to survive for an extended amount of time. One.
I feel your pain:)
Great vlog! Black thumb or not, I give you credit for all your pots and plants!
Those urn/pots at the end are so cool. If I had any idea what would grow well & easily in your neck of the woods, I'd try to give you some no hassle suggestions. I'm clueless outside of my little habitat, though.
Maybe just try annuals if you want some color. They won't last 'til next season anyways, so if they die you can blame it on the plant!
A little tiny balcony.
But you made it yours!
And then mother nature said NO!!
I do love the sound of the birds chirping in the background. That is by far my favourite sound to wake up to.
I've been known to kill a plant or four! I keep trying though for some reason!
Just know, you and your black thumb are in good company because I too can't grow anything plant like. They scream in horror when I come at them in the store.
OMG...I have a black thumb too. After reading some of MamaKats post, apparently WE ARE NOT ALONE!
HAHAHA.
Sharing love a la MamaKats.
